James J Laws Photography is based at Emerald in Central Queensland and provides specialist photography services. The business provides traditional photography services such as weddings, family portraits, graduations and general photography but also provides more specialized services including photography of rural settings, tourism, business and promotional materials. Work has included many tourist and travel brochures in the Emerald district, photography for prospectuses and promotional materials for the Emerald Agricultural College , Komatsu Mine and Ensham Mine, as well as the Bauhinia Shire Promotional Brochure, Ilfracombe Shire Profile and Ilfracombe Presentation Folder. James Laws , the principal of the business, is a highly respected and talented photographer who has won several competition awards for his photos. In the past he has been a weekend photographer with the regional newspaper (Central Queensland News) and has also run a number of photography courses in the region (including Emerald, Clermont and Barcaldine) for the Emerald TAFE College . He has been the photography steward for the Emerald Show for several years and is president of the Emerald Photography Club.
