Can you help me to write an application rather than doing the whole thing? YES. If you wish to you can write a draft of a funding application and we can review it and help you finish it. The services fee for such work is obviously lower than when we have to do the whole application.

My project is only an idea at this stage; can you help me? YES. However, in order to obtain funding you generally need to be ‘funding ready’. Funding applications which show evidence of good planning have a much higher chance of success. Applications with little or no planning rarely succeed, irrespective of how well written the application may be. We can assist you with planning your project and with obtaining the necessary information to support a high quality funding application. When you contact us about your project we will consider whether additional planning may be needed and will advise you of this.

Are services fees payable even if my application does not succeed? YES. The services fee applies irrespective of the outcome of the funding application: it represents a professional fee for developing a high quality funding application for your project. Many clients who use our services have previously submitted applications which have failed; a large percentage of these gain successful funding outcomes after using our services.

Can you guarantee funding for my project? NO. While a high proportion of our clients achieve successful funding outcomes from our work we cannot guarantee a successful outcome to your application because this depends on a number of factors outside our control. These include:

• the number of applications submitted to a given funding round
• the amount of funds available under a given funding program
• the specific nature of your project
• your project’s suitability to a given funding program
• the quality and suitability of your project planning and support materials
• the quality of assessment processes applied by the funding agency
• even individual differences in assessment by different assessors

What we can promise is that our services will deliver an application of the highest quality which ensures you have done everything you can to secure a successful funding outcome. Many clients who have unsuccessfully tried to attain funding often manage to secure the funding after engaging our services. We will also advise you if we feel that a particular application will have only a limited chance of success before commencing any work – we generally will not work on projects which have little or no chance of success.

Can you build your services fee into the funding application? PROBABLY NOT. Some funding programs allow for the inclusion of professional services fees however, the majority do not. Sometimes there may be other ways we can assist you to gain more funding which can offset the cost of our fees.

Do you help private individuals and businesses get funding? SOMETIMES. We will help private individuals and businesses in cases where they have the clear support of their local government or local development agency or in cases where they are directly working with such an agency in the development of the project. Only rarely will we work on private projects in other circumstances.
