Sally
Hunter
Sally Hunter is a Senior
Associate of FundAssist and is also a Senior Associate
of SRA Consultingspecialising in grant funding, community
economic development and eco-tour ism.
Western Queensland
was home to Sally since she was born and she continues
to live on the land with her husband in the Hunter
Valley (NSW). This long term connection with rural
communities and a close link with (and reliance on)
agricultural industries have given her a true love
of these communities and appreciation of the importance
of their long term sustainability.
Sally Hunter
has a Bachelor of Business majoring in Environmental
Tourism Management from the University of Queensland
. This theoretical background provided her with the
ability to research and write high quality reports,
an understanding of the issues of small business and
a fundamental appreciation of the social capital of
communities and the value of the natural environment
to our lives.
Sally has
coupled this theory with extensive travel in Europe
, Africa , the USA , Canada and South America for
over two years. During this travel she experienced
a variety of ways of life and types of communities
that helped her understand the dynamic nature of communities
and their economies.
Sally brings
to FundAssist some 7 years of experience in the Community
Economic Development and funding sectors. During this
time she worked the Maranoa and District Regional
Organisation of Councils, which consists of five local
government shires, surrounding the town of Roma in
Western Queensland , working together to achieve region-wide
community benefits. In this position she worked closely
with a range of government agencies, local community
groups, businesses and industries in an effort to
improve the overall economic, social and environmental
wellbeing of the region.
Sally’s
strengths lie in group facilitation, project management,
research, strong writing skills and a professional
manner. She has completed scores of high quality funding
applications yielding impressive funding results.
Her genuine passion for rural communities is apparent
in her work and helps her achieve results for long
term benefits of rural Australia . |
